Parent Resource for Information, Development and Education (PRIDE)

Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education (PRIDE) educates potential Foster Families and Adopting Parents on how to meet the needs of the child.

PRIDE teaches parents how to take care of a child using therapeutic techniques.

Some topics that PRIDE goes over with potential Foster Families and Adopting Parents are attachment, loss, child development, neglect, abuse, the importance of connections, cultural and racial awareness.

PRIDE is designed to be interactive, where participants share skills and experiences to benefit each other.

This is commonly where most potential Foster Families and Adopting Parents realize what it may be like to raise a child who has been through abuse or trauma.

We have received excellent feed back from people who have finished PRIDE.
